Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music artist and singer. In 2007, she had released two singles as well as an album entitled Satisfied. She then formed a Pistol Annies group with Angaleena Lambert, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena. They later released her second album entitled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe works as the Assistant village manager of Riverside Illinois. With over 15 years working experience, she's worked in various public positions including five years spent in Iowa City's city manager position as Deputy. As the Assistant Village Manager her current responsibilities include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department and the completion of tasks. As a part of Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of the village's services, while also taking on the strategic plan of the elected officials and the community. Ashley was in a number of responsibilities previously, such as the planning of municipal services and communication for government budgeting personnel management collective bargaining as well as focus on climate change projects. Ashley's engagement with national organisations and work within communities with different populations has given her insight into how organisations with all sizes operate. Ashley's lectures focus on the present approach to leadership and management in public institutions from a seasoned practitioner. As well as providing a context for current as well as future leaders, Ashley emphasizes the importance of adjusting today's strategic and ethical decision-making for addressing issues and capitalize on opportunities.
